***English version***
International Open Access Week 2026 will take place from October 19 to 25 under the theme “The Cost of Knowledge.”
Knowledge is not created without cost: research, publishing, technical infrastructures, peer review and the long-term maintenance of scholarly information all require time, labour and resources. At the same time, we need to ask who bears these costs, how they are distributed and what value openly accessible knowledge has for research and society. Open Access Week 2026 invites us to discuss sustainable, equitable and transparent ways of publishing and sharing knowledge.
Once again, we will contribute to Open Access Week with an own programme. From Monday, October 19, to Friday, October 23, we will offer a 30-minute Coffee Lecture every day at 12 noon (CEST). Each presentation will be followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.
The events will take place online via Zoom. No registration is required.
